📖 Verse-by-Verse Explanation
1–2: The Army's March
“Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?”
🐘 The surah begins by reminding us of Allah’s power to thwart the plans of even the strongest enemies.
3–5: The Divine Punishment
“And He sent against them birds in flocks,
Striking them with stones of baked clay,
And made them like eaten straw.”
🕊 Birds called Abābīl dropped stones on the army, destroying them completely — a miraculous event demonstrating divine justice and protection.
